Your chickens are beautiful! I am partial to Clyde, though, because i love araucanas. I have had two araucanas in the past and i loved how one hen had the markings of a hawk, along with the intense eyes. She was my favorite hen and i named her Hawk. i miss her! She looked so similar to Clyde, i was wondering if you had any pictures of her when she was a chick so i could look for those markings on araucana chicks i want to get. I got Hawk when she was full grown so i have no idea.
I also plan on getting some more australorps too. I miss my girls!

So much fun to see the news clip of you and your chickens! And I love the photos that you took of them. The Washington Post just ran an article about raising chickens in the Metro area. Since I'm originally a Virginia girl myself (now living in Italy), I sent the article to my mom in the hopes of inspiring her to set up a coop. She replied telling me to read The Egg and I by Betty MacDonald... Anyways, as soon as I buy my own little patch of the Riviera landscape around me, I'll definitely turn to you for advice on raising chickens! Yours are beautiful!

Hi Rozzy! Welcome to DigginFood. We have three breeds and you guessed right, the orange ones are Buff Orpingtons. We also have an araucana and a black australorp. They all lay great and are tons of fun. The australorp has the best personality--curious and kooky!

The girls will accept fan mail, and if you send them some worms, they may even provide an autographed photo. I'll pass along your praise. They'll be very pleased!
